Ekky, was born in Japan and as a young child has lived in Mali, Nigeria, Kenya and Iran.

She holds a certificate in Polish Language, and a Masters Degree in Cultural Studies and Theatre Management. She holds an IBA Business Counselling Certificate amongst other business and craft based qualifications.

Ekky speaks fluent Polish, French and Ibibio (her native Nigerian language).

She is dedicated to facilitating empowerment for grassroot communities and the development of social enterprise support and awareness.y as well as encouraging cultural diversity especially between the Africa, UK and Eastern Europe. She has an interest in business, creative and cultural exchanges between the UK, Africa and Eastern Europe.

Ekky has always been a keen participant in the fashion industry and makes beaded jewellery influenced by her eye love of the multi traditional, mixed with contemporary styles and mixed media.

Ekky is also SFEDI accredited business advisor and has contracted with various regional and private sector bodies to provide mentoring, training and support to the creative sector.

A strong believer in the ethos of social enterprise, Ekky works with this sector to empower and promote access to the creative sector as Social Enterprise Advisor for Watford Enterprise Agency (WENTA) and as a member of the board of directors for Social Enterprise East of England (SEEE).

Ekky is a Millennium Award Fellow having been awarded this title by the Millennium Commission for her BeadCraft Skills Project in 2001. She has since written and delivered various Beadcraft and Business development courses in London, Hertfordshire and Poland. She was nominated for the Black Enterprise International Business of the year 2004 award and was presented the “Ambassador for Peace” award by the Universal Peace Federation in March 2006.

Ekky is dynamic and enjoys working with people. She has strong interpersonal skills and a love of culture and creativity. She values honesty and integrity.
